In my photography period I found that I used extremely long lenses only rarely. The great Alfred Eisenstaedt while speaking to a 1964 class at the Navy Photo School in Pensacola (now gone too), said you need long lenses only when you have bad breath.
In several years of professional work and many more of hobby 35mm film photography, I did well with a 28mm, 50mm and 135mm(portraits). for my Leica M2 and M3 bodies.
Other things are specialty items that can be rented for the specific purpose.
Keep up the great work! You have a talent for it.

i export it full-size (no resizing), 100% quality jpeg. This "flattens" the image and includes all the adjustments. ppi doesn't matter at this point, iPhoto will set that as a part of the book making process and will happen behind-the-scenes.

Great info - could you clarify the process of getting the chosen [prints from Lightroom to iPhoto ready to create a book?
what pixel size and ppi?
I would assume when you export the adjustments become part of the final jpg?
